carlsvin Postat August 19, 2021 Postat August 19, 2021 I seem to like these old Kenwood so i took a chance on a KR-6020 which i guess is the same as the KR-6400.. Not sure it could of been for other part of country than the U.S... It powered on but that was it, No sound at all.... So after major clean of inside its up and running and all seems working 100% EXCEPT when running tuner the left ch is low volume . about half that of right ch.... Well i tried but not really sure the what the issue is except mabe a Cap ?? but im not up much on diag electrical issue.... But when i play tape or phono or aux it is fine ,,, so im assuming something on the tuner board.. I think Well here is a few pics of it dirty,,, and last 4 pics after cleaning. 1
carlsvin Postat August 23, 2021 Autor Postat August 23, 2021 (editat) Well ive got it all cleaned up and it seems to be working 100% Except for Tuner... When playing tuner the left channel is alot lower volume than the right side... It only does it when playing tuner... Other like AUX and Phono and Tape play correct.. Ive cleaned the switches multiple times and also the switch on the back side... Editat August 23, 2021 de carlsvin
Admin sherlock Postat August 24, 2021 Admin Postat August 24, 2021 Tutankhamun's tomb has been reopened? I'm not strong at tuner repairs. I suppose it's worth looking at a stereo decoder. But I can be wrong. 1
